چکیده

We have addressed the problem of tracking the non-rigid motion of the heart using a sequence of velocity elds and a sequence of contours. The information from both the contours and the dense velocity elds is integrated into a deforming mesh that is placed over the myocardium at one time frame and then tracked over the entire cardiac cycle. The deformation is guided by a smoothing lter that provides a compromise between (i) believing the dense eld velocity and the contour data when it is crisp and coherent in a local spatial and temporal sense and (ii) employing a temporally smooth cyclic model of cardiac motion when contour and velocity data are not trustworthy. The method has been carefully evaluated with simulated data and phantom data. Experiments with in vivo data have also been conducted.

Willow Tech. Report 02-07 Dense Patch Models for Motion Capture from Synchronized Video Streams

This paper proposes a novel approach to nonrigid, markerless motion capture from synchronized video streams acquired by static calibrated cameras. Specifically, we address the problem of estimating the instantaneous geometry of the observed scene as a dense collection of small surface patches, and its nonrigid motion as the velocity field associated with these patches. Starting from a multi-vie...

Nonrigid Motion Analysis Based on Dynamic Refinement of Finite Element Models

ÐIn this paper, we propose new algorithms for accurate nonrigid motion tracking. Given an initial model representing general knowledge of the object, a set of sparse correspondences, and incomplete or missing information about geometry or material properties, we can recover dense motion vectors using finite element models. The method is based on the iterative analysis of the differences between...

Tracking Nonrigid Motion and Structure from 2D Satellite Cloud Images without Correspondences

ÐTracking both structure and motion of nonrigid objects from monocular images is an important problem in vision. In this paper, a hierarchical method which integrates local analysis (that recovers small details) and global analysis (that appropriately limits possible nonrigid behaviors) is developed to recover dense depth values and nonrigid motion from a sequence of 2D satellite cloud images w...

Nonrigid Motion Analysis Based on DynamicRe nement of Finite Element

1 In this paper we propose new algorithms for accurate nonrigid motion tracking. Given only a set of sparse correspondences and incomplete or missing information about geometry or material properties, we recover dense motion vectors using nonlinear nite element models. The method is based on the iterative analysis of the diierences between the actual and predicted behavior. Large diierences ind...
